Join South Carolina Carry as a grassroots activist today

South Carolina Carry is a grassroots gun rights organization that is dedicated to protecting the 2nd amendment rights of all South Carolinians.

Here is a definition of grassroots activism that I found on Google.

“At its most basic level, grassroots activism is a group of people who feel strongly enough about an issue to actively campaign to make a difference. Grassroots activism relies on the basic rights to freedom of speech and expression by individuals when it comes to trying to make a change to a particular issue”

Let’s break this down into its individual parts.

Grassroots activism is a group of people

Who feel strongly enough about an issue

To actively campaign to make a difference

Grassroots activism relies on the basic rights to freedom of speech and expression by individuals when it comes to trying to make a change to a particular issue.

South Carolina Carry has been in existence for a year, so we are a very young organization.  We are a group of people who are American gun owners who believe in our 2nd amendment rights.  As members and supporters of South Carolina Carry we are grassroots activists who are passionate about the following things.

           Protecting the 2nd amendment

            Owning and bearing arms

Protecting our families and friends from those who are evil and seek to do harm

            Limiting big government

Enabling fellow citizens and educating them on SC gun laws

Illuminating those politicians who are trying to enact laws that infringe on our rights

Standing against groups who are actively campaigning to infringe on our rights

Educating our fellow SC citizens on what liberal politicians really stand for

Grassroots activism relies on the basic rights to freedom of speech and expression by individuals when it comes to trying to make a change to a particular issue.

As a supporter of South Carolina Carry we give you a vehicle in which to exercise your freedom of speech and to express yourself as individuals.  We are organized in such a way that right where you live you are able to actively communicate with the spoken word, literature and at public events how passionate you are about your 2nd amendment rights.  We also provide you with ways that you can do this through our social media portals.

At this very moment there are several organizations that are actively campaigning to ask our state legislators to infringe upon our 2nd amendment rights.  Here is a short list for your review.

The Brady Campaign to prevent gun violence

            Moms Demand Action

            Gun Sense South Carolina

            Every town for Gun Safety

            Violence Policy Center

            Americans for responsible solutions

The coalition to stop gun violence

I am sure that I am missing several in that list but please know that these groups and others are being funded by the Bloomberg foundation.  They are better funded and better organized than we are.  That is why it is so important that each of us reaches out to our friends, families and coworkers and spread the word about the following issues.

Senator Marlon Kimpson is gearing up to pre file a comprehensive gun control package in 2017.

State Senator Marlon Kimpson (D-Charleston) pre-filed the following legislative bills yesterday aimed at reducing the number of illegal guns, ban assault weapons, strengthen background checks, and implement a gun registration system so tracking can be made easier in South Carolina. For further details, please follow the links below.

“The time has come for us as a state to address a very important issue that continues to impact our communities across South Carolina and that is gun control,” said Kimpson. “We cannot afford another tragedy to happen before we take the needed and necessary steps to address the issue,” said Kimpson.”

South Carolina Carry invites you to join us as a grass roots organization as we work with our state legislators and ask them not to allow any more gun control bills that will further infringe upon our 2nd amendment freedoms.

Now is the time for us to stop being silent.  Now is the time for us to be passionate about what we believe in.  Now is the time for us to sound the alarm and let our fellow citizens know that their voices need to be heard.  All we are asking from you is for you to donate your time, talent and resources in whatever way that you can.  If we all do our part, we can make a huge difference.

Will you join us in the last two months of 2016 and into 2017?
