Senate Gun issues Special Committee

The newly created Senate Gun Issues Special Committee will be holding hearings on whether South Carolina needs gun control laws.  The first public hearing will be in Greenville on September 15 (next Thursday).

Senator Gerald Malloy (D-29) chairs the Committee.  He has already stated that he plans to introduce new gun control laws next legislative session.

Senator Marion Kimpson from Charleston SC is also on the Committee.  He introduced Bloomberg-style bills last session that would ban certain rifles, limit legal magazine capacity, impose gun registration with SLED and a host of other absurd New York laws on South Carolinians.

You can be sure the media will be present along with staged protests by GunSenseSC and other gun control groups.  We need to have you there.

Here is the date - and stay tuned for more information.  Contact South Carolina Carry with any questions at and someone will contact you.
